A few words about Benamargosa

Benamargosa is a little white village in Axarquia, in the province of Malaga.

Dates of the Fiesta del campo – Benamargosa Country Fair in 2026

The Benamargosa Country festival, fiesta del campo, will be held on 26 April 2026 from noon until midnight.

At 2.30 p.m., a popular paella is offered to all visitors.

The 2025 programme of the festival

---

• 12.00 p.m.: Reception of Authorities and personalities and inauguration of the 19th Fiesta del Campo by the Mayor.
• 12:30 p.m.: Official visit to the different stands located in different parts of the old town, with gastronomic tastings of typical Benamargosa products and foods. The panda de Verdiales San Gabriel from el Borge will accompany us on this tour.
• 1:00 p.m.: Rompeolas Orchestra which will host the celebration in the Official Tent, located on the Esplanade on the banks of the Benamargosa River.
• 2:30 p.m.: Institutional awards and recognition ceremony under the Official Tent.
• Great popular paella on the esplanade next to the Benamargosa river bridge.

• 4.30 pm: Copla performance with Maika Romero

• 6.00 pm: Dance exhibition by Amigos por el Baile, along with bachata and salsa dancers.
• 6.30 pm: The rhythm of the Rompeolas Orchestra returns.
• 9.00 pm: Performance by La Cebolla and Negro Jari.

This day is dedicated to the discovery of the local gastronomy, mainly around tropical fruits. There is a local drink to discover, the Baticate (a milkshake made with avocado and cinnamon) :
