About andaluciamia website

Why this website on Andalusia?

1 – The beginning of the story 🙂
2 – Information you will find on this tourism blog dedicated to Andalusia

1 – The beginning of the story 🙂

I discovered Andalucia, and in particular the Province of Malaga, in 1986.

I have been lucky enough to make many trips to Andalucia, and always with the same home base, in Axarquia, just outside Malaga.

For several years I have been dividing my time between Paris and the white village of Torrox Pueblo where I have a small house.

« My» Torrox pueblo

Until now, I shared my passion for this land through posts on social networks, Facebook and Instagram.

As I travelled and met with the locals, I decided to create a promotional activity for this land and its local actors.

I then created my company, the website andaluciamia.com, the commercial brand “El Mango Azul”.

The blue mango (el mango azul) is a reference to the 45km of beaches that border Axarquia, to its subtropical climate, and of course to the cultivation here of the best mangoes in the world.

I named the site andaluciamia, because the Axarquia is “my Andalucia”, I have a passionate relationship with it. And if Antequera is the exact geographical centre of Andalucia, it is for me the ideal starting point for excursions throughout Andalucia.

Málaga is just a few kilometres away, Granada 1 hour, Cordoba 1.5 hours, Almeria, Jaen 2 hours, Seville and Cadiz less than 3 hours.

2 – Information you will find on this tourism blog dedicated to Andalusia

This site is of course intended to help you discover Andalucia , its beauties and treasures.

Among the pages of the site andaluciamia.com :

In this site I have decided to present almost exclusively typical, traditional or outdoor activities and experiences with tourism actors who are passionate about their work.

The aim is to make you discover their land, with a real local imprint, so that your holidays are also a journey, one of discovery, experience and beautiful encounters.

To immerse yourself in the Andalucia culture, I have also dedicated a whole page to the local ferias and fiestas.

And for the blog part, I have put all the articles that I think best show Andalucia as I see it.

One last important point to finish presenting the website:

On the website, there are affiliate links to other companies (e.g. GetYourGuide or Tiqets) for most of the hobbies, tours, and experiences.

Similarly, everything presented for “preparing your trip to Andalucia” has affiliate links.

With some of them the company will receive a commission if an activity has been booked, with others nothing. For you, it makes absolutely no difference, the price is always the same.

In concrete terms:

A platform sells activities: it receives a commission from the professional (hotelier or other).

If you go to www.andaluciamia.com and click on a link to a platform and book an activity, the platform will share its commission with the andaluciamia.com website.

I want this site to be a site of sharing and trust. I have tried to apply my favourite motto, which is the way of life here: Disfrutar, Tapear y Compartir!

To finish, the presentations, a photo.
