15th July

This day is reserved for believers, visitors and members of the brotherhood to make floral offerings.

It takes place in the parish church El Salvador. It is the church on the right at the beginning of the balcony of Europe.

Each year on 16th July :

This is the big day of the Virgen del Carmen procession.

At 19:00 the procession begins with a route through the streets of Nerja.

The Virgen del Carmen is then taken to the beach of La Torrecilla. She will then be taken on a boat for the maritime procession (see video below).

The maritime procession ends on the beach of Calahonda. The fishermen then continue the procession to reach the Balcón de Europa. This procession ends in front of the Church of the Saviour.

Then, in the evening, on the beach of Calahonda, a fireworks display is held. The best place to enjoy it is from the balcony of Europe.
