El Morche, in Torrox, organises an evening dedicated to a fandango, the fandangos de Gui, at the end of August.

A word about the fandangos de Gui: it is a traditional song and dance in El Morche, a small municipality attached to Torrox.

This fandango is very similar to the verdiales, typical of Axarquia and the province of Málaga. However, it is unique and this flokloric tradition only exists in the village of El Morche today.

This fandango of music and dance was traditionally performed at the end of the harvest and was an opportunity for the youth of the surrounding villages to meet.

It is an opportunity to live to the rhythm of the traditional, popular, and typical festivities of Axarquia.

Where is El Morche?
