A few words about Teba
Teba is a small town in the province of Málaga.
It is best known for its castle – El Castillo de la Estrella – which in Al-Andalus was known as Hisn Atiba. The ruins of the current castle date from the Almohad period, in the 12th and 13th centuries. The castle was built on an ancient Christian defensive site.

The construction of various watchtowers in the surrounding areas also bears witness to the warlike atmosphere and insecurity of the last century of the Islamic Itaba. It was the scene of countless warlike battles due to its strategic position on the border between Christian western Andalucia and the Islamic peninsula to the east.
The strategic location of Teba and the castle
From its position some 600 metres above sea level, it dominates the entire plain of Antequera and the entrance to the Serranía de Ronda.
he castle was declared a National Monument of Historic and Artistic Interest in 1931 and a Site of Cultural Interest (BIC) in 1949.

Finally, this castle is the purpose of these Teba Scottish Days. We’ll find out why below.

Finally, I must mention the incredible way the Scots dress.
I even wondered how they did it, because not everything made it onto the plane….!
Congratulations on the atmosphere at the festival. And congratulations also to the Gibraltar music group!
Things are so much nicer this way. After all, after the war, we need to make peace…
