A few words about Nerja and the carnival
Nerja, the jewel of the Costa del Sol is located in Axarquia, in the province of Malaga.

About the Nerja carnival
Carnival is traditionally known as the fiesta del disfraz – the fancy dress party.

In 2026, the Nerja carnival celebrates its 42 anniversary. It has also been recognised as a Festival of Provincial Tourist Interest for the last 10 years.

The carnival will take place from 12 to 15 February 2026.
