A few words about Jerez
The town is known as Jerez, but its full name is Jerez de la Frontera. In French, its name is Xerès, whose wines and vinegars have made its reputation.
This town in Andalusia is in the province of Cadiz.

This city is famous for its wines and horses, but it is also recognised as one of the capitals of flamenco. During the horse fair, you can see a number of flamenco shows.

Many of the festivities take place in the González de Hontoria park, which is the centre of the festival.

This fair has very ancient origins, dating back to the Middle Ages, in the 13th century (1284). Back then, it was a livestock fair!
