Torrox Festival of Fandangos de Gui
El Morche, in Torrox, organises an evening dedicated to fandangos, the fandangos de Gui, at the end of August.
A word about the fandangos de Gui festival: it is a traditional song and dance in El Morche, a small municipality attached to Torrox.
These fandangos in Torrox are very similar to the verdiales, typical of Axarquia and the province of Málaga. However, it is unique and this flokloric tradition only exists in the village of El Morche today.
This fandango of music and dance was traditionally performed at the end of the harvest and was an opportunity for the youth of the surrounding villages to meet.
It is an opportunity to live to the rhythm of the traditional, popular, and typical festivities of Axarquia.
This celebration will take place on 24 August 2024 at 9 P.M
