This guided tour from Nerja will be full of discoveries. I have very good memories of it. Our guide, Cipriano, made us discover unique places rich in history.
In the five villages you will pass through, time seems to have stopped, which gives them a very special atmosphere.
You will discover the legacy of the Al-Andalus period as well as that of the Mudejars who built many edifices in the white villages of Axarquia.
How does this day tour work?
This tour is carried out in semi-private groups (2 to 8 people maximum) departing from Nerja, Torre del Mar and Torrox.
The guide Cipriano – pictured below – will pick you up in the morning at your place of stay in a Mercedes Vito and drive you to these white villages.
The details of this excursion on the Route of the White Villages
The guide will take you through a mountain road, above the coast, to several typical and authentic white villages.
Through these typical Moorish villages, you will discover the history of the Mudejars and their architecture.
You will visit some of the treasures of each village: the narrowest street in the province, an old mosque turned into a church, old minarets turned into bell towers,…
At lunchtime, Cipriano will take you to a typical restaurant for lunch.
At the end of the tour, the guide will drop you off at your accommodation.
